A very nice period piece from the fifties, made in Germany by an unknown manufacturer. The bodyshape of the split beetle is very well captured with some details.
It is evident that the soap was put into a mould to shape the bar. There is a clearly visible seamline. These soaps were used, so not many survived. They also easily dried out, as you can see on the cracks on one of them.
The soaps have lost their odour over time... :-)
