A clear plastic body with cut out windows and VW emblem on front hood. Plastic chassis contained separate parts to include a gas tank, seats, steering wheel, engine/transmission (no spare tire was used). Plastic wheels attached with hubcaps. Small differences with the Danish produced BOCO and the main difference being: on both sides the lower door hinge is missing, because the old molds used were already worn. Was sold as a constructional kit and the box that it came in has written Kansanauto (Finnish) on one side and Folkbil (Swedish) on the other side, which means Volkswagen in the two languages spoken in Finland. This lesser known manufacturer acquired old, used molds from BOCO, because in the early fifties the Finnish authorities did not allow to spend foreign currency to buy non-essential goods, like toys, through import. That is why Finland has a rich toymaker history in the early fifties and also copied many toys from other markets for sales in Finland! Often mistaken for a BOCO Split VW.
