JNF was founded in 1920 by Joseph Neuhierl in Fürth, Germany. The company name is formed out of the first letters of his name and the town of Fürth. In the war, the company had to produce for warfare (like many (toy) companies). In 1945, the US Army therefore confiscated all production facilities. Production started again in 1947. In 1957, Joseph died and his wife Frieda and son Hermann took over the company. In 1960 JNF started producing plastic toys and introduced the STRUXY brand.
These are very nice production examples of plastic Volkswagen Bus toys produced by STRUXY, Germany. Often the shape has changed over the years and they appear to sag along the roof line. Some were friction powered, some had battery operated remote control and they all came in nice colorful boxes with pictures. STRUXY also produced other cars including a Volkswagen 1500 Sedan.
