A very rare Hebmüller VW Cabrio ashtray which was used as a promotional give away item by Dutch Volkswagen dealerships in the early 1950's. Here are three examples of the Hebmüller VW Cabrio ashtray from different dealerships, among them the VW dealer Van Kleef, a.k.a. Garage 't Centrum.
Smoking back then was very common, widely accepted and so there was a need for ashtrays ..... especially with different designs!
Although a little flat looking, it caught the basic characteristics of the Hebmüller VW Cabrio quite well.
The manufacturer of this seldom found Hebmüller VW Cabrio ash tray was a Dutch Company named Schollevaar, located in Lekkerkerk, The Netherlands.
