MARABOUT is a Belgian Publishing House, originally located in Verviers, that published in the French language. One of their publications was the MARABOUT JUNIOR, which were adventure novels for teenagers. Those booklets often contained supplements. An example of those supplements is a series of construction paper model cars. In edition number 53, in 1955 a construction paper model of a blue VW Karmann Convertible was issued.
It consists of a construction paper sheet measuring 110mm x 160mm and needed to be cut out and glued together to construct a Vintage Volkswagen Convertible model. It is quite simple with only four parts. The artwork is marked AUTO DIVERSES No. 5 and furthermore, the name of the designer: R. Hermans and also the issue of MARABOUT JUNIOR in which it was issued: No. 53.
