BALTASAR was a plastic toy factory that started in the early 1960s. They specialized in economical toys in a wide range of various vehicles in different scales. Vehicles included cars, trucks, boats, sailboats, parachute soldiers, tea sets, etc. BALTASAR also had a line of other larger plastic products that included canteens, glasses and dishes. BALTASAR later teamed up with another company by the name of SANZ S.A.I.C. and they produced a line of less expensive plastic products for bazaar and flea markets. The company did very good in the beginning but in the 1980s they went out of business.
The Oval Window VW body is made of soft plastic and has cut out windows. Good details and bumpers are molded in the body. No chassis and the plastic wheels and axle are snapped into the body. There are four round mold mark on the inside of the body. Found with or without INDUSTRIAL ARGENTINA molded inside the roof.
