In the 1960s, a company by the name of PLASTICOS GACELA, located in the country of Colombia released a set of plastic models. The plastic Oval VW body came with cut out windows and fair details of front and rear hood, door seams and rear oval window with air louvers. Clear plastic window insert and the chassis molded in plastic. The models were in fact copies of ANGUPLAS MINI CARS models. The PLASTICOS GACELA models are easily identified. The molds have obviously been altered to remove the 'Made in Spain' text from the chassis and replaced with a large capital letter ‘I’ symbol.
