Industrias Saludes had its beginnings in a small family company founded in Valencia (Spain) in 1900 by Joaquín Saludes Amigó, a businessman, entrepreneur and specialized mechanic. The company initially focussed on manufacturing and selling road signage and vehicle registration plates. It was from the forties onward when the firm diversified its activity by incorporating new product lines for vehicles, motorcycles, nautical requirements and plastic toys. JEFE Juguetes was the brand name they used for the plastic toys.
As from the early 1980’s, the company decided to focus on street furniture, traffic signs, etc. again and production of toys ended.
One-piece plastic body with unbroken windows and closed wheel wells. Silver painted detail. Brown plastic chassis with engravings: “JEFE” Coche Popular Pat. Plastic wheels.
