Way back in 1938 when Porsche was building the KdF Wagens, I am sure that there were also other German manufacturers supplying specialty parts for the construction such as the electrical system. Interestingly, I came across an advertisement from OSRAM Auto-Lampen from perhaps a distributor, Hans Schiebold, Chemnitz, Germany listing the different light bulbs available for automobiles. The advertisement was dated October 1938 and low and behold, there was a drawing of a KdF Wagen driving at night with the head lights shining bright. Then I looked at that drawing and wondered if I could create a fantasy small scale KdF Wagen toy using the graphics and the blue and yellow colors?
